GAMESWA Private Limited ("GAMESWA", "we", "us", or "our") is a company incorporated in India, registered under the DPIIT Startup India programme. We operate a sports analytics and broadcasting platform for amateur turf cricket.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

• Identity data: Your name and player handle (GS-XXXXXXXX format)
• Contact data: Your WhatsApp phone number, used for OTP verification and content delivery
• Age data: Date of birth or confirmation that you are 18 or older (for DPDP Act compliance)
• Guardian data: For players under 18, we collect guardian name and WhatsApp number for consent verification
• Usage data: Match participation records, player statistics, and performance metrics generated during tournaments
• Device data: Basic device and browser information when you access our web platform
• Video footage: We capture match footage using cameras installed at our partner turf venues. This footage is processed by our computer vision pipeline to generate player statistics and highlight clips. Players consent to being filmed by participating in a GAMESWA-enabled tournament.
• Communications: Messages sent to us via WhatsApp or our website contact form

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information for the following purposes:

• To verify your identity via WhatsApp OTP and create your player profile
• To generate and deliver AI-powered cricket highlight clips to your WhatsApp number
• To display your player statistics and performance on your public profile
• To enable tournament organisers and turf owners to access match data
• To send service communications, including match confirmations and platform updates
• To comply with legal obligations under applicable Indian law

We do not use your data for targeted advertising. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

4. WhatsApp Communication

GAMESWA uses the WhatsApp Business API (Meta Cloud API) to deliver OTP verification codes and match highlight clips. By registering on our platform, you consent to receiving these messages on the WhatsApp number you provide.

You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at info@gameswa.com. Withdrawing consent will disable your ability to use WhatsApp-based features of the platform.

5. Minor Players (Under 18)

If you are under 18 years of age, we require verifiable parental or guardian consent before creating your player profile. This consent is obtained via a WhatsApp OTP verification sent to your guardian's phone number.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors without guardian consent. If you believe we have collected information from a minor without appropriate consent, please contact us immediately at info@gameswa.com.

6. Data Sharing

We share your personal information only in the following circumstances:

• Tournament organisers: Match statistics and player handles may be shared with the tournament organiser who facilitated the event you participated in
• Turf owners: Aggregated match data (not personal contact details) may be shared with the turf owner where the match was played
• Service providers: We use Supabase (database and hosting), Vercel (web hosting), and Meta (WhatsApp delivery) as infrastructure providers. These providers process data on our behalf under appropriate data processing terms
• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority

7. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on servers located in the Asia-Pacific region (Mumbai, India — AWS ap-south-1). We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including:

• Row-level security policies on all database tables
• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
• Signed URL delivery for video content (time-limited access, expiring links)
• Access controls limiting staff access to personal data

Match highlight video clips generated by our platform are stored in cloud object storage (Supabase Storage, Asia-Pacific region). These clips are associated with your player profile and delivered to your WhatsApp number via time-limited signed URLs. Clips are not publicly accessible without an active signed link.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We will notify you of any data breach that materially affects your rights as required under applicable law.

8. Your Rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable Indian law, you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements
• Withdrawal of consent: Withdraw consent to data processing at any time
• Grievance redressal: Lodge a complaint with our grievance officer (see Section 11)

9. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your player account is active or as needed to provide our services. If you request deletion of your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or regulatory purposes.

Match statistics and anonymised performance data may be retained in aggregated form after account deletion.

10. Cookies and Tracking

Our web platform uses Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to collect anonymised usage data, including pages visited and session duration. This helps us improve the platform experience.

We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies. You can disable analytics tracking by using your browser's privacy settings or a browser extension.

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify registered users via WhatsApp and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
